Michael and I had this conversation today at Skype about a fundraiser idea:

[6/25/2009 8:05:15 AM] Michael OTECHI: I also see, they have online auctions for some items. A container load of some of those items would be worth something here.
[6/25/2009 8:06:29 AM] Michael OTECHI: And if you do careful selection, you can have quality items. I think that would merge well with your Furniture Store,A childrens ministry and Non-Profit Work.

[6/25/2009 8:09:21 AM] Eric William Shoop: For the furniture store online, we have a dropshipper. This means we don't have a physical store location, but when someone buys somethings we get a hold of the drop shipper and they send the item to the buyer.
[6/25/2009 8:10:14 AM] Michael OTECHI: It will be necessary to establish something to sustain the Ministry here.You can solicit for funds or goods in kind,including similar ones like Goodwill. Or get straight from Goodwill and resell in Nairobi.

[6/25/2009 8:10:42 AM] Eric William Shoop: My sister sells things on ebay. She does sorta of what you are suggesting.
[6/25/2009 8:10:46 AM] Michael OTECHI: Some-one told its possible for some Non-Profits to get free freight.
[6/25/2009 8:11:49 AM] Eric William Shoop: I've thought about it, but have little children right and it's hard for me to go shopping especially since Eric works long hours. We both do not enjoy shopping.

[7:26:19 AM] Eric William Shoop: I know it is wonderful what things you can do today with video.

[7:28:21 AM] Michael OTECHI: So you may not give too much time in relation to my suggestion.
[7:30:17 AM] Eric William Shoop: yes, I'm very busy, but that doesn't mean I won't take your suggestion:) I'll tell you what why don't I post a prayer request about it and pray for someone to step up here in america and help with this suggestion and we can work on it together. What do you think?

[7:32:47 AM] Eric William Shoop: So I'll post the prayer request and see if anyone over here loves to shop and sells things already on ebay. I know my sister does, but I don't think she'll have enough time to devote to more. We'll pray that God calls someone over here to do this:)

[7:34:43 AM] Eric William Shoop: thank you dear brother. Once someone accepts...then we'll all three discuss what has been discussed and see if we can put all great ideas into action:)
