Update Praise Report for Build on The Rock Ministries- The Called are coming forth!!

On May 23, 2009 I posted on Build On The Rock Ministries Spiritual Intercessor fan page this prayer request.

"Lord, connect me to a christian teacher that knows alot about the education system in Kenya."

Soon after I posted on Build On The Rock Ministries Spiritual Intercessor fan page this prayer request:

"Lord, connect me to a young college kenyan that loves education who feels called to join our group and eventually become a key person in the school. Send forth Your Spirit to draw this person to us. In Jesus name Amen. Thank you for answering. Luke 11:9 "So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you."

And This is how God has responded so far....

1. He called forth Kimani Haroun, who expressed this on Build On The Ministries fan facebook fan page, "I so much need to be part of what God's doing in kenya through this ministry!I therefore believe i heed to this call.i will offer myself for this!I am an educationist in special needs education and have been dealing with vulnerable and orphaned children and other special needs children.blessings.

2. He called forth George Juma Adongo who is the founder of Teacher's Together.

Their OBJECTIVES are:
1. To Meet the teachers' spiritual needs,counseling them and their families.
2. Advise teachers on investment opportunities
3. Interact with other teachers' groups world wide
4.Work together with other Groups such as GARA TO COMBAT THE RAVAGING EFFECTS OF AIDS AMONG TEACHERS.
5. Seek development partners to offer medical cover for teachers and their immediate family member.
6. They are concerned about the ravaging effects of HIV/AIDS amongst teachers so we work together with the affected and infected teachers

Their Plans are:
1.Mediate or Short Term- We are looking forward to opening an office in Kiserian whch will double as a shop for selling books, and uniforms for various schools
2.Immediate or Middle term- The office sited above will grow to become the major source of income for the group.
3.Long Term- the office will become a printing press serving the schools around Kiserian and beyond with logos and uniform with the various schools' logos.
Grand Plans:
Teachers Together in Christ International has thought and prayed and at last we can now talk concretely. We have three levels of planning: 1. Immediate 2. Mediate 3. Long term.
1. Immediate plans regard the venue of the meeting,which we already have-Joy Celebration Family, Dates-18-20 Dec. Advertising the meeting which we are already doing. Establishing offices in Kiserian.
2. In the Mediate plan we are looking forward to typing,typesetting, photocoping and internet services which will need computers,printers,flash disks,digital cameras and scanners. These will be used to make Teachers Together International self reliant pretty fast. 3. In the Term we shall need to start an income generating activity which is printing school books with their logos plus the services mentioned in no. 2

I asked him the following:

Would be willing to focus on helping us come up with a more detailed plan of how the school facility should look and run. How many rooms should we have? How big should they be? How big should the entire building be? What should we put in the building? How much would the building itself cost (can we use the 25,000 shillings per metered squared area used for the homes?) And how much would the furniture cost? We are looking to school around 100 students. Their ages will vary from 4-18.

He wrote back: Honestly I know that we can work together!!!

Since then, they have accepted our invitation to be on Build On The Rock Ministries school and educational sub-committee.

Then today June 9, 2009 a lady writes me,

Dear Elizabeth,
My Name is Mercy Gichohi a Kenyan lady who is born again.Am committed to the walk of faith in Chrit Jesus whose the Lord of all creation.I hold Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology and a Higher National Diploma in Applied Biology.I have worked in Institutions of learning as a Laboratory Technician ie Njiiris High School and Muranga' College of Technology.Currently,am teaching Biology at Marion Senior School.I also head the Guidance and Counselling in the School as well as the Christian programmes.I have a passion for the young people and I feel challenged to associate with them as I show them the way and impart the fear of God in their lives.Ialso have a passion of sharing the love of Christ with the lost souls.I have accessed information on your Ministry and I would like to give you a helping hand as I support what the Lord is going.

These are the days in which God is leading his people along unfamiliar paths that they may possess their inheritance and touch lives for his names sake. Joshua 1:1-8 note verse 3
